LaGrange, Georgia (June 15, 2020) The Southern Association of Wholesale Distributors, SAWD, has selected Association Services Group of LaGrange, Ga. as its new association management partner. ASG began its new management responsibilities for SAWD in January 2020.
Established in 1922, SAWD, known to their industry as “the Southern,” is a regional trade association representing corporations and individuals involved in the manufacturing, sales and distribution of convenience products.
SAWD’s membership is comprised of 14 states throughout the southeast. All together, they represent 46% of all convenience stores in the country which is more than 66,000 stores.
The Southern’s mission is to support and build a strong distribution system while enhancing its members ability to conduct a successful and profitable business. They are leading the effort to improve the quality of wholesale distributor programs, services and operations.
VJ Mayor, CAE, will serve as the executive vice president for SAWD while Charles Hall will serve as the organization’s Chief Executive Officer.
“Association Services Group could not be more thrilled and honored to work with an association as storied as The Southern,” Hall said. “As the nearly 100-year-old organization heads into its next century, we’re excited to utilize ASG’s management skills and staff expertise to help The Southern fulfill its mission in serving wholesale distributors in the southeast.”
